In Memorium

The Board of Directors notes with sadness the passing of one of our most dedicated volunteers, Carl Kehret, on April 28, 2004. Carl worked tirelessly for our Foundation, primarily on the pneumatic motors which go into many pipe organs to help make electrical connections. In fact, he recovered every pneumatic motor that needed attention in the last two pipe organs. And, when he ran out of that work, he offered to do wiring. Carl was admired by everyone, he could see the potential in everyone (and in every automatic musical instrument), and his boundless energy and enthusiasm unfailingly infected others. We will miss him greatly.

Getting Involved

You are invited to be involved in the Pipe Organ Foundation. Volunteers are needed to do bench work in the Foundation facilities on Mercer Island. The work is repetitive but not strenuous and it is in a pleasant environment. Contact Carl to inquire. Financial contributions are especially welcome at this time as they would make possible the projects outlined above plus others in the planning stage. Contact us with any questions you may have.
